Is there anyway to copy/paste or duplicate a node *without* saving it as a still and using Display Node Graph? It just takes soooooo long when I want to duplicate a Node attached to a Key or Layer to make fine changes.

Also, speaking of UI & Node Management, could you have the node in or key in light up when I’m hovering over it? I can’t tell you how many times I have to re-click and drag that link over because I’ve missed the magic pixel that I need to hit to link it up. I know the dotted line turns solid when I reach the node, but maybe you could have it ONLY turn solid when it it’s going to make a connection.

I know it’s a small thing, but it drives me absolutely batty.

Regarding the first part of your question, a better approach to making multiple adjustments with a single key, window, or matte is to do the key or matte in a separate node, and feed that key to as many other correction nodes as you like via the key input/outputs (the little triangles at the bottom left and right of each node). That way you only need to adjust or alter a single qualifier, window, or matte, and the result will automatically apply to whatever other nodes you want to use to make corrections.

Regarding your second question, I’ve found node to node connections to be really wiggly myself, it would be nice if the mechanism was a bit more forgiving.

I’m already pretty familiar with a Node based workflow, so using the same key on a bunch on nodes isn’t a big deal.

I’m talking about when I *don’t* want to apply the same key to a bunch of nodes, but I want to duplicate the key *specifically* to change it, blur it, shrink/grow, etc, so it has a different effect.

In shake I remember copy/paste/duping nodes all the time.

I know I’m responding to an old thread, but I would really like to know if there was a way to duplicate nodes also without having to Grab Still and then Copy/Paste.

I know I’m responding only two years late, but since I’m new at Resolve and was searching for the same feature today, this is a solution that works in Resolve 11:

Highlight a node, press “Ctrl+C”, create a new node, make sure it’s highlighted, and press “Ctrl+V”. This should copy all adjustments.

Surprisingly, I still followed this thread. Thanks for the tip, Brane 🙂
