simple ques – preview range
i cant find any tips in the manual for using/setting the preview range. i am used to the ae way of setting a work area. the play head will just play past the green preview range i set up, (so far i only know how to set the preview range by dragging)

You can’t do that in C4D other than by adjusting the overall scene length. When you create a preview from the Render menu however, you can adjust the start and end frame.

I’m not sure I understand the question, but you can restrict playback to the preview range by selecting Animation>Play Mode>Preview Range.
