  • simple problem: activate audio tracks in sequence

I would think this would be really simple to do. It probably is, but I can’t figure it out. How do you activate audio tracks in the sequence so that you can do inserts.

    Basically:
I open up my project and I can only get audio track a1 to connect to A1 or A2. How do I get a2 to show up?

Sometimes it is there, sometimes it isn’t.

It is only there if you have two tracks of audio in your SOURCE CLIP. If you open a clip in the Viewer, and you only see A1, then you only have one track of audio. Look at the viewer tabs too. You will only see one track of audio. If you open a clip in the viewer and you see A1 and A2, then you have two tracks of audio.

There is a situation where source audio tracks can get lost – if you’ve had it patched to a track which has since been deleted.

Either way, right-click on one of the track locks and choose “Reset Panel”. That will reset v1 to V1, a1 to A1 and a2 to A2.
