    Hi guys,

    Was wondering if I could have a little guidance on the best way to pull off this effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmFhxKu8hKg&feature=related

    It generally looks quite easy to do but wanted to check whether it would be something I need to motion track or can I pull it off simply keyframing the position and scale etc? Would there be any special measures I should take when filming to achieve this effect?

    Design an interface and work with your actor to help him/her visualize where the items will be on the virtual screen.
    It would help if you can add some light interaction: when you plan to have the screen come up have a light fade up from somewhere low – this way you can get the actors face lit up just a bit. A colored filter should help (cyan/blue). If you can make the light flicker a bit it will be even better.
    No need for tracking at this stage if you plan a static shot.
    Of course if you want camera moves you will need 3d tracking software and to work in AE in 3d space.
