    Hi,
I’m sorry if this has been asked already, however after many hours of study I cannot trim the in or outer point of a layer.

    I know that the command is alt + [ alt + ]
    But it just won’t work.

I’ve check the shortcut txt file and it correctly shows the same command

Can you please help me? it sutck to have to choose split layer and delete the created layer for a simple trim.

Ps. My keyboard is italian and I can only replicate squares parenthesis with altgr + [

    thanks a lot

You are selecting the layer and then hitting the short cut keys correct?

Sorry, not familiar with Italian short cuts. Can you download the manual in Italian? Then search for “Keyboard shortcuts reference”?

This article on changing short cuts may be of help: https://generalspecialist.com/use-after-effects-shortcuts-with-non-english-keyboards/ Things like the ~ are not on keyboards in certain countries and this article address that. But I think the Italian manual is your best bet.

The keyboard shortcuts work properly if you set your keyboard to US English. The brackets should be right from the P key.
