    Hi there,

I am trying to create an animation of a sunset. Pretty simple right! I am relatively new to AE but have looked at 100 masking tutorials and none are giving me what I want. I wondered if anyone here could help out.

I have video clip of a lady talking. In the corner, she would like a simple animation of a sun setting and rising again.

I have created the sun with the scribble effect and animated it so it moves down the screen and back up, however it is hiding it, making it disappear behind a line drawing of a horizon that I just cannot do.

I think it is going to be a really simple answer, but I just can’t figure it out. How do I draw an invisible mask over the film clip that makes the sun disappear when it goes past the line (false horizon)

I hope this makes sense, but please hit me for any further information. My AE jargon is pretty weak, but I will do my very best.

    Cheers
    Ewan
