    Slightly different version of Jeremys, double click the waveform on the clip to expand, press P, hold down B to cut and then you can trim the video only

    1) Select the clip

    2) Shift “F” to match frame

    3) Shift “3” to switch to audio only mode.

    4) “D” overwrite clip to timeline.

    My 2 cents:
    -detach audio
    -cut the portion of the video you want
    -disable it pressing V
