  Simple Custom 3D object

  Man,what am I missing! I’m thinking this should be easy right – All I want to do is make custom 3D shape ( a simple piece of broken glass ) I can draw the glass with the pen tool or whatever, I just need to �extrude� it a little, make it semi-transparent and if I’m really happy, I’ll add some text then export it as a 3D object to animate in AE. Can ( should ) I use Illustrator instead… but then how do I get the 3D object in AE – ahh, I’ve been thinking about this for too long.
