Rookie here. I’ve checked all around the forums but can’t find an answer. I’m sure it’s a simple dialog box I can not find.

    FCP 5.1.2
None of the video clips, or audio clips are audible when playing. The audio level indicators show that sound is indeed playing on the clips, but I cannot find out what I did to mute the audio.

Audio works fine in other applications. I’m frustrated.

Never mind. A restart got it going again. What I did I may never know.

James, give us a clue. We don’t know what kind of machine you’re running FCP on nor how you’re trying to monitor the audio, so it’s a bit tough to make suggestions. For a start, check the audio/video settings to see if you can spot a problem. If that doesn’t help, give more details so someone can try to help you.

    Regards,
    David

Also make sure that your log and capture window is closed. Whe it’s open you won’t hear your audio playback
