Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Similar concept of COPS face blur in Premiere cs4?

    The idea is the same in Premiere.

    1- Create duplicate clip above current track.
    2- Add circle effect to top track
    3- Add fast blur effect to top track
    4- Change Circle effect “blending mode” setting to stencil alpha.

    As needed, add feather, change radius and keyframe position to follow the face..

    You can also apply a garbage matte instead of the circle plugin, which would allow you to create a custom shape..

    Most people use After Effects since that allows you to track the face as it move.

    I found this useful to spot heal in premiere pro
    And just as easy as in after effects. Easier if you cant be arsed to create multiple new recompressed files.

    The only difference I use is to add a levels effect instead of the fast blur
    and adjust the (RGB)Gamma accordingly to remove the dark spot.

    No key framing is necessary as dust doesn’t move in shots!

    Im using this technique to remove dust spots on canon 5d mkII video files.
