I posted about while ago with some questions about Twixtor, AE, and HD and the suggestions were great – I’m reaching the end of the project and have a question about rendering this monster.

Animation: 2 HD 1080i50(PAL) shots matted into a split screen (HDV Codec) – shot A is 12 minutes long – shot B is 14 minutes – the shots were to be time remapped to sync to each other. The final shot is 13 minutes long. I used AE’s time remap to sync the shots and want to have twixtor pro 4.5 render the effect. Both shots are upper field first.

For rendering, should AE’s frame blending be on or off to allow twixtor to work best? The render times shot through the roof – as it was rendering with fields on gave an estimated time of about 230 hours.

Also, would it benefit me at all to transcode the HDV footage into DVCPRO/HD first?

    AS A SIDE NOTE:
In my attempt to upgrade from the demmo version – I get thie error at lanuch – no matter how much I install and reinstall – twoxtor 4.5 pro doesn’t seem to ant to load – have you ever seen this message:

After effects error; couldn’t load plug-in “Twixtor Pro4.x Vectors in><>“)-code fragment library not found(-2804)

    Thanks for any help!!

You need to install 10.4.6 combo update probably. I had to do that for fieldskit recently.

You can read about the Mac OS 10.4.6 fix here: https://www.revisionfx.com/generalfaqsOSX104.htm

Twixtor is replacing AE’s frame blending, so you should have frame blending off. Hope this helps.
