    Hi guys!

    I’m a beginner llustrator user, and I would really like to create the shape featured in the attached image below (the stand part).

    I did try just drawing the left side freehand with the pen tool, then copying and mirroring, but, I would like to know if there is a clever way to maybe use an illustor default shape and manipulate it to make it symetrical and perfect lol 🙂

    I guess what I’m really after is how I would go about creating a symetrical *perfect* russian doll shape (would prefer not drawing freehand with pen tool!)?

    I’ve attached an image below of 2 example doll shapes – I would love to know how to make both! One features a stand (like in the previous post), and the other is just rouded.

    Have you try using the 3d revolve tool?

    just play with the setting in the dialog box to remove shading and highlights if you don’t want it.
