I need to transcode some CineForm 2k footage to Apple ProRes 1920. My main concern is preserving the timecode. We need Apple ProRes 1920×1080 proxies to have a smooth offline edit.

Is there an application I can download for batch conversion? I have Quicktime Pro, Compressor and FCP of course, but nothing seems to preserve the timecode upon export.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Matt,
    Compressor preserves the TC.
FC too, but I wouldn’t use his batch export for quality footage.
MPGStreamclip do it as well and have Batch export option.

[Matt Torti] “but nothing seems to preserve the timecode upon export.”

    Are exporting from FCP?
