Hello again, i’ve got a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro.
I was working on a project when suddenly my computer froze, after rebooting it i cant get premiere to work on my windows account. I start it and premiere starts going through files and all that but just when it’s about to finish everything stops and premiere shuts down without a warning.
If i log in to another windows account premiere starts without any problems. Im guessing something got corrupted or something on that particular windows account when the computer froze.

Anyone had this problem or know a solution? Is it perhaps possible to reset all of premieres settings to default without having to start it?
Or do you think i’ll have to reinstall it?

If the error only happens by opening a particular project file, it may simply be that the project is corrupted.
Try opening Premiere and starting a new project.
If that works, you could than try to import the original project into the new project.

If its not just happening with one project, try loading your PP install disk and run SETUP. When prompted, select REPAIR.

It doesn’t work if i just try to start Premiere (not a specific project file), it also doesn’t work if i try to start a specific project by double-clicking a project file.
But it still works if i’m logged in to another windows account wich leads me to believe that some settings or project files that are exclusive to the “corrupted” windows account are the problem.

I’ll try opening the probably-corrupted-project-file on the windows account where premiere starts without any problems and see what happens.. i’ll probably just reinstall Premiere if i cant find another solution to the problem, although i wish i won’t have to because it takes forever to install 🙂

Thanks for your replys, i’ll get back to you if i solve the problem.

I had the same problem. I was working with mpeg HD files, and had main concept plug-in which was causing the problem. Premiere worked fine when I removed the plug-in.
