    Shut down-cannot print to tape for TV station masters – disaster!

    Just 2 days after printing to tape successfully on a Sony DSR 20 deck, we made an edit and tried to print to tape again. When we did the video was fine, but the audio was very distorted and loud.
    We changed decks, we changed cables, we changed computers, we changed files, we changed file locations

    Even when playing the file on the timeline the audio is horrible. What would cause audio but not video to go bad?

    We have no idea what is going on, but we cannot print out our TV station masters!

    Anyone have any ideas? Help….

    Is this via a capture card?

    No, this is firewire straight to Sony DSR DVCam video decks. No capture cards involved.
    This output to tape.

    Did you ever figure out what caused this? I’m having exactly the same problem, and I just successfully did this a couple days ago and didn’t change the setup, at least as far as I know. I’m also trying to get a tape to a station.
