Shrink 16:9 to 4:3 in Sony Movie Studio 10

OK. I created a project – changed to 4:3, now what? I rendered it to Internet 4:3 – or there is better format for rendering (I want to use this file to create a video – not for youtube)

Your choice of rendering format will depend on your final delivery medium. Do you want to make a DVD that you can play on a TV? Or, do you want to create a file that you can simply “play” on your computer or stream to your TV using a media player? Given the fact that you’re starting with VHS, it will not look very good however it is rendered–at least compared to today’s HD digital media.

OK, thanks. My next question: I want to create a video clip that would contain pieces from 5 video files + many jpgs. What I did in the past – I cut and rendered every piece. Then opened and combined them (together with jpgs) in one project. Is there an easier way (just open all base files and make and combine cuts)?

Press the Make Movie button and follow the prompts. It will ask you if you want to make a DVD or just a movie for your hard drive. That’s why Sony created Movie Studio. It has Wizards so that you don’t have to know all of the technical details… you just have to know what you want to do.
