Is there a way to have Media Composer display full 2K plates? Or are you just limited to the 1080p framesize as the largest one it can display?

Do Avid editors generally just work with proxies when cutting Cineon or 2K movies and online them later with an outside application or extra hardware?

DS Nitris is the only product that can edit native 2K and 4K files. All other Avid editing products use SD and HD as proxies and track the metadata for a conform – timecode, KeyKode, DPX, etc. is all tracked. For more information on Logging and Managing metadata, go to: https://www.avid.com/resources/whitepapers/index.asp

You will see two whitepapers I wrote; one on ASC color management metadata and one on all metadata that can be tracked.
