  • Showing Audition What To Remove From Entire File

Is it possible to select a small portion of an audio file on the actual wave and have audition run through the entire clip, silencing ALL instances of this occurrence?

I have had some good success with the dynamic compression creating some custom graph settings but it would work best if i could select the portion of the wave directly, tell audition how many db to decrease or silence it, and then have it run through entire clip processing any instance of that highlighted clip.

    many thanks in advance…

oh and the piece being removed is primarily breathing

    Spectral frequency view
Highlight it, lower dB -9, then auto heal

or marque tool select, capture noise print, noise reduction.

Or try adaptive noise reduction for overall automatic adjustment
