Quick question: How can I see the render speed while rendering. I can see the “Caching Frames 23 of 100” and “Rendering frame 23 of 100” in the info panel, but is there a way to see “Rendering @ 2fps” or something similar? Wasn’t this the case in previous versions of AE or am I just imagining that? I’m using AE 15.0.1.

    Thanks in advance!

Ae reports playback frame rate in the Info panel. If you just start playback without caching or rendering first, you’ll get the effective render speed in frames per second (up to real-time).

    That did the trick! Thanks.

I’ve never seen ‘Rendering at 2fps’ or something like that. But if you put more info (on the little down arrow), you can see the average time each frame is taking, and what layer is currently rendering.

Hmm, I can’t see more info under the little down arrow in the info panel. Turning caching off works though.
