  • Should Nvidia Quadro 2000 still work with CUDA in 2019?

I’m running both Premiere 2018 and 2019 on the same Windows 10 desktop.

In 2018 I can still choose CUDA acceleration, in 2019, I only have the software option available. I’ve got the latest NVidia driver installed, having done a clean install when I upgraded the last time.

I realise that the Quadro 2000 isn’t officially supported anymore, but this has been the case for some time and it has continued to work.

    Many thanks,

    John

There are possibly hacks you might look for around the Internet, but that card is way old, way not powerful enough, and worth all of about $10 now. Try to find a more recent and more powerful GeForce GTX card on EBay that is listed on the Adobe site and you’ll be a lot happier.

Yes. I guess it has reached the end of its life. I was just posting in case there was some other reason why it wasn’t working anymore.

I’ll look out for a replacement when I hit a heavy project. Just working in 1080 at the moment and the system seems to be coping.

    Many thanks,

    John
