October 23, 2014 at 9:53 pmJosh, I just tried that. Bit it seems like this brings me bak to the point where I started from.
If I do that, AME encodes the full clips – not the new, short versions. That’s because I cannot seem to set the “source Range / clip in/out” I only can do that if I select one clip at a time. -

October 23, 2014 at 9:56 pmbut won’t the subclip ONLY have your selected range. i would think it would respect a subclip range.

October 23, 2014 at 10:04 pmMaybe I’m doing it wrong, but the fact that it doesn’t was the reason I started this thread ; )
I thought this might be “fixed” in 8.1
Well, I’m a bit confused now… in case it worked for you before please let me know.

October 23, 2014 at 10:08 pmAre you sure you are making a SUB CLIP, hitting cmd-u and making a new clip out of it, and not just setting an in and out? i tested on 8.0. can test on 8.1 later if u can’t get it to work.

October 23, 2014 at 10:08 pm“in cc14.1 you could also use the consolidate transcode function to generate new media sets from the sequence timeline….just specify a destination…that should work.” >>>>>
I hope I’m not a PITA ; ) but could you please explain this a little further. I don’t exactly understand what I need to do.

It was exactly as you thought. It was totally my mistake.
