Shortcuts of the timeline window
Posted by Philippe Verdoni on March 21, 2011 at 4:17 pmFor an unnokwn reason some shortcuts of the Premiere CS5 timeline window do not operate anymore i.e:
Space bar key for Start/Stop; End and Beggining keys to move the CTI at the end or the beginning of the timeline.
There is apparently no way to define shortcuts for these commands in the Keyboard customization panel.
Thank you for your help.Philippe Verdoni replied 15 years, 1 month ago 3 Members · 6 Replies -

March 22, 2011 at 9:21 amAlthough these shortcuts cannot be defined, is there a Windows or Premiere CS5 file that could have been damaged?

March 22, 2011 at 2:22 pmYou have to click in the text field where the keyboard shortcut would be and type the key…
In the PPro CS5 help:

Play/Stop”…now I know I don’t understand the question.
in the list of keyboard shortcuts you’ll find:
“Go to Sequence-Clip End” shortcut: End
“Go to Sequence-Clip Start” shortcut: Home(These are applicable to the sequence or clip depending on what panel has the focus.)
“Play-Stop Toggle” shortcut: Spacebar (like all other NLEs I’ve ever laid eyes on…)
Is this really your question? I’m at a bit of a loss here…

You are right, these commands are in the “Help” section of the Keyboard Customization. Now I have reset everything. Thank you.
