I just noticed this yesterday myself. haven’t looked further, but the shortcut doesn’t work here either. Not sure if Apple killed it, broke it or relocated it.

Are your clips offline? In 4.5 they need to be offline. If you just want to change them from 2A to Stero for example, you can make them offline (leave them on disk) change the type to stereo, then reconnect them.

Yep, they’re offline. This shortcut has worked as long as I can remember.

Jerry Hofmann… you there? Any thoughts on this? Is it broke or just gone?

Actually, I always thought it was broken. Perhaps they fixed it. They way I thought it should work would be to batch capture and choose “current settings” instead of logged settings. But when I’ve tried that in the past, it still goes with logged settings. It was years until I discovered the bizarre bin “workaround.”

I’m not on 5 yet so maybe you guys can try it. Of course it should work both ways, but you know apple.

Yea I put clips offline tried shortcut in Browser No Go!
tried to recapture with current settings still No Go!

Also has anybody else tried to Import quicktime DV clips captured in 5.0
into 4.5 projects? I know you can’t open 5.0 projects with 4.5, but I didn’t think Captured files would be different.
But they sure act Funny won’t come in linked, or come in with the audio paired different, like a pair of Mono 1/2 came in as mix Mono but was missing Left Channel.

are the quicktime files Flagged Different in 5.0
