I see a couple of people talking about some sort of SD to SxS card adapter. Has anyone used one of these? It seems a little shady…

Your question seems a little vague. Are you referring to the various low cost alternatives to Sony’s SxS Pro memory cards? You can purchase a number of secure digital adapters that fit into the EX camera’s SxS slots with SD cards in turn fitted inside the end of the adapters.

Here are some companies that sell them:

Hopefully these links will answer some of your questions.

There are actually quite a few of us around here who use these…

Not all SDHC cards seem to be created equal and you need to allow the camera a second or two more to conclude recording after you’ve hit the button…overcranking is the limitation…otherwise, nothing “shady” about it.

I actually haven’t recorded on the included SxS card yet…I’ve been using SDHC cards with the MxM adapter.
