Shooting in China with NTSC DVX100A
Hi,
I’m heading to China to shoot segments for a documentary.
I’m shooting 24P with a Panasonic DVX100A.
My question is about shutter speed and light flicker.
I’m going to be using artificial lights obtained in China. It’s my belief China runs 220V at 50hz. I the US runs 120V at 60Hz.
I read the info on page 29 of the manual. Should I change the shutter speed to 1/50 to avoid flicker when shooting under artificial Chinese lights? Or leave it at 1/60?
Any info is truly appreciated for I won’t have the luxury of NTSC monitors in China. I’m not sure I’d see the flicker in the LCD camera monitor.
Thanks
