shooting from a coaster/rider POV
Hi all,
a few things I’d like some responses on. If this pulls together, I will be shooting end of next week in Jackson, NJ.Want to shoot POV from a steel coaster a few different angles and focal lengths on about 10-15 runs. If using HDV of some flavor, will the built in stabilizer be satisfactory or will it require additional work? I read the prior post and will definitely keep part of a car in the shot for this purpose. We’ll be rotoscoping in 3D elements connected to the track so stabilization is very important – for at least 2 seconds anyway. Preference on P2 vs a Sony/JVC-type HDV? Less issues with card memory vs. a tape transport?
Client is handling logistix of releases, insurance, etc.
I’m also in need of the camera, operator, rigger and possibly a soundman in that general area for the day- this is posted in the help wanted forum.
Thanks for your wisdom.
