    Actually, I don’t think there’s any other way to do it.

    I was asking for advice on lighting, exposure, etc.

    That will depend on the look you are after. Some cameras has the option of changing the viewfinder from color to B/W, so it will be a good idea to do it and take a look there for real contrast between colors.

    If you are planning to modify skin contrast adjusting color channels in post, be sure to consider how other colors in the scene will change.

    I don’t remember exactly what adjustments I did to this video, but the background was a green-screen and the model was lighted with two soft boxes very close to the camera.

    Yes, thanks. Nice work, and the green screen is an interesting idea.

    Fortunately, I have a separate monitor so I plan to set it at B & W. Time to experiment.
