  • Shooting at higher shutter speed (video) under flourescents causes color fluctuation…explanation?

    Hey Everyone,

I’ve known for a long time that under flourescent lights…shooting at higher than 1/60 shutter will cause a fluctuation in color. The higher the speed, the faster the fluctuation. (I’m referring to shooting video on CCD camera)

Anyone have a good technical explanation? What hz do flourescent bulbs flicker at?
