    Hi there,

I’m shooting a video for a client, which will demonstrate the speed of a new type of mobile phone network connection. It’ll show two identical phones side-by-side, one of which will be using the old network, the other the new and there will be a clock timing the difference in speed when downloading an app, etc. Much like this:

It is important that we do it for real and shoot the screens in situ, as any post production might suggest we could be tricking the whole thing and undermine the point of the video, however, the phone screens still need to look perfect (or as close to that as possible).

Can anyone offer some advice on how to go about doing this? I’m going to shoot some tests today, but I’ve not done one of these before, so thought I’d check in here in case anyone had any good learnings from experience. Is there an optimum frame rate for shooting these phone screens, for example, or any other settings to consider in order to get the best result?

    Very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Nick
