Shoot Me in the Face – 720p/60p Salvaging
Don’t ask… I’ve already kicked myself enough, lets just find a solution. I kind of already know there isn’t going to be a perfect one, so I’ll take what I can get.
I consider myself to be fairly competent with the HVX. I’m comfortable with it. But, for reasons I won’t go into today, when I double checked the settings to shoot some slow-mo 60fps stuff in 720p/24pn today, I saw “720p/60p” under Recording Setup and my brain said “All set to go!”
And then I started shooting.
So now I have some ugly super smooth 60p footage, instead of the wonderful looking 24fps overcrank I was hoping for.
I need to find a way to salvage this footage. I don’t care about the slow motion part anymore, I just need to get it to “look” 24p. I know it’s not going to be perfect, but do you guys have any magic workflows?
I’m using Final Cut Studio 2, and have access to After Effects if necessary.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate your quick responses!
