  Shifted clips upon reopening a finished timeline (C300 footage)

  So, we just wrapped post on a 6 episode hour-long series. All episodes were edited, mixed and color corrected entirely in Premiere Pro CC, and delivered for broadcast through AME.

  Now that all shows are finished, I went back into each project file to create a few mastered versions of each episode for archiving and future distribution. I did so by duplicating each episode timeline, and making minor suitable edits to each one (commercial break length, network branding changes, etc), Saved and closed the project files.

  After I ran them all through AME to generate the masters, there were TONS of clip errors – shots were shifted to different parts of the clip, and wrong shots in the wrong places. I re-opened the project files, and those wrong shots are embedded in the timeline. A ton of the clips are just plain referencing a different media clip (from the same scene…) all together!. The new exports have been containing audio glitches as well but that is a lesser concern.

  Since post, NO media files have been moved, renamed or replaced in any way. Everything exists on our RAID as it was delivered originally about two weeks ago.

  The Premiere experience has been highly unreliable for us, and I cannot envision us ever using it again if these type of problems persist. WHAT is going on here?

  The source material is 95% Canon C300 MXF 1080p23.976 50Mbps. The rest is external audio WAVs at 48khz/23.976, a handful of AE Dynamic Link compositions (Lower 3rds), and a few ProRes 422 (HQ) mastered clips from previous episodes.
