  Shift Fields

  Hello,

  I have a project with some field dominance issues (a lot of archival from a lot of different sources). Right now, I have to take the footage through an extra step of taking it through FCP-7 to shift the fields (project was cut in Avid).

  Anybody found a way to shift fields in Resolve? Perhaps an OFX plugin?

  I’ve read about the yadif de-interlacer, but that doesn’t seem to do what I need, just shifting the fields.

  The main way the field-cadence error shows up is issues with the 3:2 pulldown: the mixed frames look jaggy, instead of “dancy,” on the broadcast monitor. I shift the fields in FCP and they look “dancy” on the monitor (like they are supposed to), but of course, that’s an extra step. Since we’re finishing 29.97, we’re happy to keep the 3:2 pulldown.

  Anybody know a plug-in that will shift fields?

  If not, anybody hired a coder to write an OFX plugin and had a good experience? Seems like something worth to pay to get made.
