Shhoting flat on af100
Posted by Richard Cardonna on May 4, 2012 at 5:57 pmI have heard that shooting flat is better for color grading. How do I shoot flat?
Thanks

Operation Type – Film Cam
Rec Format – 1080/24p
Syncro Scan – 180.0d
Detail Level – -6
Ver Detail Level – -6
Detail Coring – -4
Chroma Level – -4
Chroma Phase – 0
Master Ped – -2
Gamma – Cine Like D
Matrix – Norm 2This comes from Marvels Film, they call it Flat Cinematic. I’ve used it a couple of times, it’s great. Make sure it is a project you are going to color grade, because the image looks pretty sad straight out of the camera. Meaning, don’t show any clients until it is graded. Also, don’t use this when you are doing greenscreen. It sucks most of the color saturation out that a keyer can use.
