    Sheetfed Coated V2 Profile Changed When Reopening

    I’m just preparing a file for a printer who is specifying a CMYK colorspace using the ‘US Sheetfed Coated V2’ profile.

    I do this, but when I save the file and reopen it, the color profile is ‘Web Coated’.
    I’ve tried saving as TIF and PSD with the same results.

    I’m not totally clear on how sheetfed stock is necessarily going to have different color than webfed… but maybe that’s another issue… or not… I don’t know?? :/

    I just would like to meet the printer’s requirements of a CMYK file with a US Sheetfed Coated V2 profile.

    Any thoughts?

    Try using the assign color profile before saving, and check embed color profile (I believe it says something like icc profiles, not in front of Photoshop right now).
