Sheervideo and Decklink Extreme, do they play?
USing BM Decklink Extreme on XP and looking for a good quality codec – much beter than DV but not as file ‘heavy’ as uncompressed. I noticed that Bitjazz (www.bitjazz.com) have a great looking codec called sheervideo but at this stage it appears to only work with quicktime. Is anyone using this codec with Decklink cards? Does it work on both Macs and PC’s?
The website says they have been around since 1997 but what I cant work out is if their codec is as good as they say it is, why havent they been bought out by a larger company by now? Isnt that the way it works?
