When sharpening photographs, it’s pretty standard practice to resize the photo for your website before sharpening it.

Recently this got me thinking about my Vimeo workflow.

If I am going to be uploading my videos to Vimeo and then embedding the video to a blog, where the maximum video size will be 800×450 (no full size button), then…
Should I resize my video to be 800 x 450 and then sharpen it, and then upload the 800 x 450 video to Vimeo?

Or is it best to upload a high resolution 1080p video to Vimeo, even if it will only be played at 800 x 450?

Thanks in advance to those who know much more than me!
