    Hello,

I was hired to finish editing a movie that was started on CS4 for PC. I have CS4 Mac. The hard drive was formatted NTFS on WIN XP PRO. I can’t mount it on my mac. I have another hard drive I can reformat and then move the movie to. Can you tell me how to format it so both the PC and the MAC can mount the drive?

    Thank you,
    Neobe

    Hi Neobe,

Actually, you can mount a Win drive on a Mac by downloading this little app (free).

You can read and write, you’ll never know it was a Windows drive.

You can also attach an HSF+ Mac formatted drive to a PC using the Mac Drive application:

    Jon,

I am running an Avid DS on a HPZ800. The OS is Windows XP 64 bit (which is the only OS that Avid DS 10.3 will run on) and that seems to be the one OS that MacDrive does not support are there any other solutions for reading a Mac drive while running on this OS? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Bryan

I think i have found the solution, just wanted to post this up there in case anyone else runs into the same problem. You can use Paragon’s software “HFS + For Windows”

Hope this helps people in the future

    Thanks
    Bryan
