I’m doing an edit with a quick turnaround, and need to have the shooter upload footage for me (rather than shipping a drive). In the past, I’ve used Google Drive & Dropbox but have had issues with large file sizes and zipping/unzipping and am wondering if there’s a better solution. Is there a site that I can have them upload to that’s better equipped for large video files?
And to take it a step further, what about any cloud-based editing platforms? Do those exist? I would love to be able to upload footage to a cloud, and have the ability to edit remotely, or hand off a project to someone and have them take over the edit without needing to ship a drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And FYI, I typically edit in Premiere Pro.
Thanks Greg. I’m taking a look at wetransfer, but while I see it does give you a terabyte of storage, seems like you can only upload/send 20GB at a time. Do you know if there’s a workaround there?
Thanks Shane! I’ll look into that.

would probably be cheaper to just use AWS directly. that would cut out a lot of the overhead from beepbeep.
this could also be a good time to start a remote-rent-my-workstation model when it’s not being used.

I believe that’s per file. In the past my producer has simply sent me multiple wetransfers.

We are using Resilio Sync. Direct Peer to Peer. Our three freelancers get access to working projects, sync whatever they need. We have immediate access to the updated project because all gets synced immediately. We are using this system for over 5 years. Not one problem yet. Fast internet connections are necessary.
