Sharing a timeline with another editor. Subclip question.
Hello,
I am attempting to share a sequence with an editor.
On my end, I have been cutting up a 5-hour Consolidated .mxf broadcast file and using it in various parts of the sequence. As of now I have created 5 sub clips from that large broadcast and used them. I don’t want to send him the large 5-hour file, is there a way to send him consolidated sub clips with handles instead.
I have attempted this once, I consolidated the clips and then grabbed the files and sent them to him, along with a bin filled with the new sub clips that were made in the consolidation process. The only problem is that now he will need to grab those files and manually place them in the sequence. I will be doing this a lot. I’m guessing that I need to do something during the consolidation process that forces my project to reference the new clips as well before i send.

Have you tried sending an AFF of the sequence, embedded with handles, you can give massive handles if need be? that’s how i have got around similarities in the past
