Shape layer as mask for text?
Hi, I’ve been at this for a while, it seems so easy, but I haven’t fully found a way for a shape layer to act as a mask for text?
Imagine for eg some text inside a star shape. Can anyone please help?

Ian, you want to use what’s called a track matte. Here’s the documentation and some quick examples:
