    Shane,

I haven’t seen the entire Andrew Jackson show yet, thank goodness for Tivo, but the part I did see was very nicely done, and offered insight into a man not widely discussed these days and one I’ve never seen profiled.

BTW, sometime near the part when Red Sticks massacres a bunch of folks at a fort and when Jackson adopts the small indian child, you used a soft dissolve of some sort. I’m not sure if that was a dissolve you used throughout the show, but do you know the one I’m referring to? If so, which one was it?

    THNX,
    David

Was it the horizontal blur maybe David?

I like that too, Shane which transition plugins did you use?

I watched it in HD on my Panasonic 50″ Plasma.
    The show looked really good.

I liked the map scenes as well.

Not sure… That’s not a FCP transition is it?

That was from the Nattress Big Box ‘o Tricks. That is the H & V Blur DIssolve. I like that one, and yes, it was throughout the show. That and the LIGHT RAYS that was one of the new FXPlug ones you get as the Motion Incentive. Those are pretty much the only two I used…mainly cuts….but if it was a dissolve, that was the one I used.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. I really liked working on it. What I like about working on documentaries is that I learn more as well.

    Thanks,

    Shane

Thanks… That’s a good one to know about. I use very few transitions, so when I see one thats appealing I like to remember it. I think Eureka has a similar one in the filter set I have already, so I’ll have to check it out.
