Shake and Io
Posted by Leandro Krukowski on April 23, 2005 at 4:17 pmI was at the AJA booth at NAB and talked to an AJA rep that said it was possible to get video out of Shake through the Io. But I can’t remember how he said I could do it… can anyone help?

April 24, 2005 at 4:56 amI have shake 3.0 and I can NOT get the io to act as a BC monitor. In theory, under globals, under broadcast quality or render quality (can’t remember witch), you will find a slider for broadcast monitor. Move it to #2 if you have one monitor or #3 if you have two computer monitors. Click the TV looking button on the main window. If you get video, your set, if not call aja.

April 24, 2005 at 10:18 pmI read that Shake 4 will have compatible output for the Kona2 and other cards.
I hope that since Kona2 and Io are made by AJA, and that Apple writes the code
for them, it will output as well.Let’s talk to the AJA guys.

April 25, 2005 at 7:37 amWe are not talking about Kona 2 here, wich, I guess, works as advertised.
The first message of this thread was about Io. I knew that Io family wasn’t able to do shake broadcast monitoring. Has something changed?
Otherwise I can’t grasp the sense of this thread.Leandro Pedroni

April 25, 2005 at 6:03 pmilpoldo,
Stuart, in his comment before mine, was wondering if the kona 2 ran with shake 4. My kona 2 runs with shake 3 just fine, and I thought he would like to know.
no confusion here,

Its my understanding that Shake 4 will be supported with the new Io drivers due out sometime in May. Its possible with Tiger’s core audio and video that we’ll see a lot more applications supported as well in the near future.
