i am about to start filming my project which involves moulded ice sculptures melting. i would like to make my film with a lot of shadow please see this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV9MzzcCPf8 is this done with lighting effects whilst filming or can i just film it in daylight and use AE,FCP or Motion to make it look shadowy so that my ice sculptures are emphasized?

i was also considering having a transition effect in which for example if i had a tv, then a mould of tv made from ice i could merge the 2 to look like the original tv is turning into ice? is this possible? would it be easier to do with 2 photos of this and then adding a camera to make it move?

    regards

    Alison
