    the first guess without the file is that the rim of white is a always there like it’s picking up light from another light or by GI from the white floor. Do you have another light or GI turned on?

    The problem is caused by anti-aliasing. The only way to fix it, AFAIK, is to select the multi-pass page in render settings, set “separate lights” to all, and then check the “shadow correction” box.
