I’d like to place a fractal noise animation (I have it as a layer and a rendered .mov) in front of a light and cast a moving shadow on my subject. As I’m trying it, I just keep getting the whole layer as a block and not the animation. I have the layer set to cast shadows only. It seemed to work at first but when I positioned it, I just got a frame sized block.

    Any advice?

    Thanks,

Sounds like it doesn’t have an Alpha Channel that cuts out the RGB channels. Try the Set Channel plugin to create an ALpha from one of the RGB Channels, whichever gives the best result.
