I played a vhs tape through my camera to vegas capture video. I saw and heard the video as it was being captured. I went to open it after it was completed capturing . Vegas wouldn’t open it……the message said….sfvidcap file…..none of the files dropped on vegas could be opened.
What did I do wrong? Thanks for your help……..GaryF

The sfvidcap file is like a project file for the capture program. You don’t open the sfvidcap file in Vegas – you open the file you captured in Vegas. What is the name of the AVI file you captured? THAT’s the file you want. In fact, it should have been automatically added to the Project Media in Vegas for you.

Options – Preferences – Disk Management.
This will tell you were it was saved.
I change this for every capture I do so that it goes into a folder inside a master folder that I create for each and every project I do.
