SFL and SFK files
Posted by Mark Krueger on December 16, 2011 at 2:46 amI was told these type of files can be deleted without affecting anything. I have done that and all seems well. But they seem to be reappearing, when I open a file or media. Does anyone seem to know why? I delete them and they reappear.

lol…Worry not Mark, they are only created once when you
import a media within Vegas, so deleting them affects
nothing…Therefore they will keep appearing as long as you
use them in Vegas. They are just files vegas builds for
the waveforms, etc to be visible and for quicker access.
But didnt you ask this question a while back?Steve Rhoden

December 16, 2011 at 11:36 amThanks Steve, Yes I did ask this question earlier. And I learned that they can be deleted. That is what I have done. This follow up question is why do they reappear, and you have answered that. THANK YOU! Mark

December 16, 2011 at 1:45 pmYea, as Steve pointed out, they reappear because Vegas needs them to operate properly. They contain meta-data about your clips and Vegas will re-build that meta-data if it doesn’t exist but it needs these files in order to operate properly.
