I just loaded Vegas (6.0) on a brand new workstation.
The project keeps telling me it has to render the sfap0 file. (Which takes 5 or so passes) It says a stream needs rendering.
What is going on here? Tech support couldn’t tell me.

Also, on my old system I would push in the scroll mousewheel to navigate the timeline. Now it opens up a new MS window. I assume this is a windows setting, but cannot for the life of me finad where to change the setting. Any ideas?

Sounds like you’re loading a VEG file onto the timeline. I get a sfap0 file when I nest a VEG file.

On thing that caught me when I first started using 6 – I used to drag the VEG files to the timeline to open them. In 6 and 7, it “nests” them instead. So now I’m in the habit of right-clicking and choosing “Open”.

    That was it!!!!!

I had inserted a VEG file without realizing it and even though it was not being used Vegas kept rendering it.

    Thanks
