    hey,

i was wondering, i want to cut a 3d mesh ( Human Body ) into a sewing pattern parts.
So i need to make these parts flat i guess. Because they are curved when i take them from
    the body parts.

    how could that be done?

    thx in advance

Cinema doesn’t have a built-in function for this, unfortunately. The best I can come up with would be to work on the objects UVs — breaking them up into the appropriate parts and then running the Relax UV command to flatten them.

Once that’s done you can create a python script using the code found here: https://code.vonc.fr/?a=16

Run the script on your object and it will create a flattened object from your UVW map. Tested in R18 and it works.

I will Try that tomorow !

    Big thanks
