Severe Video “Banding”
Have severe “banding” upon playback of Maxell tape(s). Timecode is resetting throughout entire tape(s). Problem never happened before, never happened since. – ONLY these two tapes. What could be problem?

You might want to post a couple stills or footage, but maybe this question would be better in a forum related to your camera or the editing system you are using.

Which format are these tapes? Did you record them yourself or recieve them from someone else? Maybe a DV/DVcam issue?
Just the first thing that popped into my head.
